NYT Ssamjang Pork Meatballs

Ingredients

1lb ground pork                                                                                                                 

ΒΌ cup panko bread crumbs                                                                                           

2 cloves minced garlic                                                                                                                                                                                                              

1/3 cup ssamjang

3 tbsp minced ginger

3 scallions, minced

Salt

Cooked rice for serving

Lettuce for serving    

Instructions

  1. Measure and wash rice

  2. Heat oven to 425 degrees

  3. Mince garlic

  4. Chop scallion

  5. Mince garlic

  6. Measure panko and ssamjang

  7. In a large bowl, combine pork, ssamjang, panko

  8. Shape the meat into 16 meatballs and arrange on a parchment lined baking sheet

  9. Bake until golden and cooked through – about 15 minutes

  10. Serve warm, sprinkled with scallions in lettuce cups and rice if desired
