EVBS Annual Ice Fishing Trip!
On Friday, March 7, students, staff, and community members bundled up and headed out to Lútsäw Lake for our Annual Ice Fishing Trip—a beloved EVBS tradition that brings everyone together for a day of outdoor adventure, connection, and culture.
The day began with excitement and snow boots as the bus departed, full of students equipped with their fishing gear, toasty layers, and plenty of enthusiasm — ready for a day of fishing!
Throughout the afternoon, everyone had the chance to drop a line through the ice, try their luck at catching fish, and take in the beautiful surroundings of the land. For some, it was a new experience; for others, a cherished winter pastime shared with friends and family.
A highlight of the day was gathering around the fire for a classic hotdog lunch, where stories were shared, laughs echoed across the lake, and hands were warmed by the flames.
Events like this go beyond just a fun outing—they reflect the spirit of our school and community. It was wonderful to see students, staff, parents, and community members all together, making memories and enjoying the land that sustains us.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped organize the day and to those who joined us at the lake. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
