EVBS Yukon Heritage Fair 2025: Honouring Our History, Celebrating Our Stories

On Thursday, February 27, the school rotunda came alive with history, culture, and student creativity as Eliza Van Bibber School hosted our Yukon Heritage Fair. After a week of hard work and research, students proudly presented projects that explored the rich stories of the Yukon—from traditional knowledge and Indigenous history to local legends, wildlife, and key moments in time.

The variety of topics and presentation styles was inspiring. Through dioramas, posters, art, and displays, students brought Yukon’s past and present to life in thoughtful and engaging ways.

Family members, staff, and community guests joined us in the afternoon to walk through the exhibits and hear directly from the students. The pride and confidence on display reminded us just how meaningful it is to connect learning to land, culture, and community.

Mussi Cho to everyone who attended, supported, and helped make this event such a success. And an even bigger Mussi Cho to our students for their incredible work—you made Yukon history shine!
